*To foreign students who want to apply as research students at Multimedia and Secure Networking lab. (Okabe lab.), Course of Communications and Computer Engineering, Graduate School of Informatics. [#g2bb6582]

We do not accept research students, including those who prepare for
the Master course exam.  We accept foreign students only as graduate course 
students. If you wish to do research in our lab, you need to take
the entrance exam for the Master course of the Course of Communications and Computer Engineering, Graduate School of Informatics.~

You do not need to ask professors for permission to take the entrance exam for
the Master course.  If you pass the exam, you will be assigned to a
lab based on your preference order and your exam score.~
~
If you are assigned to our lab., then we may admit you
as a research student during the period before the entrance.~
~
Entrance examinations are usually held in August and February. Although it is common to start a semester from April in Japan, you have alternation to start from October. ~
